About the Project

A collaboration between 12 passionate students — 7 artists and 5 programmers — brought this adventure to life over the course of a single semester.

My Contributions

As one of the core programmers, I delivered the complete playable-character experience:

• Character & Combat

  • Responsive melee combo system, hit detection, cooldowns

  • Context-aware dodge, block and ranged-attack logic

• Animation Pipeline

  • State machines, montages and code-driven transitions

  • Weapon-linked hitboxes and animation-notifies for SFX / VFX hooks

• Visual Effects

  • Implemented the majority of the game’s VFX, from weapon trails and impact bursts to environmental particles

  • Real-time parameter tuning for performance on mid-tier hardware

• Art Integration

  • Imported and configured all character textures, materials and shaders

  • Hooked VFX and materials to gameplay events for immediate feedback

• Audio

  • Designed and integrated 90 % of the soundscape (spatialisation, mixing, trigger logic)

  • Adaptive music stingers tied to boss-phase states

From gameplay logic to polish, I ensured every slice, spark and echo felt fluid, visceral and satisfying.
